Concrete Handling Information

PHYSIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES                                                 

  • Effects on eyes-fresh concrete will burn and cause eye irritation.

  • Effects on skin-fresh concrete can cause burns to the skin.

FIRST AID TREATMENT

  • Skin Contact – Flush well with water.

  • Eye contact – Flush well with water for 15 to 30 minutes and seek medical attention.

  • Review Material Safety Data Sheet. 

     

PRECAUTIONS FOR NORMAL CONDITIONS

  • Avoid extended skin exposure to fresh concrete.

  • Use personal protection equipment.

  • Avoid getting fresh concrete in the eyes.

RECOMMENDED PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT

  • Rubber boots, gloves and eye protection.
